Fortune Cookie Quote

Set your talents free!

“Don’t let your limitations overshadow your talents.”
~ A fortune cookie

What this quote means to women entrepreneurs:
When you were a child, most likely your imagination ran free and your fantasies included hopes and dreams for your amazing future. But then, as you grew up, you came upon stumbling blocks. Some of those were external — people raining on your dreams because their dreams were already drenched — and some were internal — you discovered that you had limitations that were physical, mental, intellectual, emotional, financial, etc.

Those stumbling blocks gave birth to limitations, both real and imagined.

The problem is, that too many of us focus on our limitations, losing sight of our talents. We let our inhibitions, rather than our genius, define us.

But if you are to truly succeed in life, you need to focus on your talents, and what you are capable of, rather than your limitations, and the obstructions in your life. For when you let your limitations overshadow your talents, your world contracts and so do your possibilities.
