Celebrate You! 2015 Day 21 Report

rosary I received this rosary, which is from Spain, for my First Communion. I’ve never said the rosary in my life, but it is a strong part of my childhood memories.

My grandparents would say it often. In fact, when I hear certain prayers, it sends me back in time and I can hear their voices intoning “Holy Mary Mother of God pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.”

Then last night, my boyfriend and I decided to go to the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, a Catholic ritual in which you get to view the exposed Eucharist. Its something we do sometimes to spend some time with God and I really appreciate it because I believe it is helping me further develop my relationship with the divine.

Well, we had a surprise! There was no Adoration last night, instead there was a training for the Confirmation students. And, to my delight, they were being trained on how to pray the rosary. So, while my boyfriend had his God time, I spent mine flowing along and saying the rosary.

I could almost feel my grandparents sitting beside me and saying it with me.
