Thank you for doing that.
Things are happening to you everyday that you could be appreciating. Someone holds the door open for you. A car lets you get into their lane. A grocery clerk helps you pack your grocery bags. Maybe even your significant other helps you around the house without being asked. The problem is that in our busy world today, we often over look these little nice things that happen to us. Not today!
Today’s Journal Exercise:
Keep your eyes open for reasons to say “thank you.” Recognize actions, big or small, that the people in your life — whether someone you know (like a friend or coworker) or a stranger (such as a store clerk) — do. Say “Thank You” and let them know you appreciate what they did.
At the end of the day, journal about how it felt to be saying “thank you” so often. Did it make you feel good? Strange? Why do you think that was?
Daily Challenge:
When someone does something nice for you, make them feel like a rock star and ask to have your picture taken with them. Then share the pic with us in the Facebook group. Tell us what wonderful thing that person in the picture did for you and why you appreciated it. And be sure to include the hashtag #CelebrateYou. Journal about the person’s reaction and how that made you feel.
