You are a no-pooping zone!
One of the worst habits people get into is pooping and “shoulding” on themselves. They beat themselves up for not doing this, for doing that, for not being fast enough, smart enough, creative enough … whatever. Well, today you are going to stop that and start a brand new, self-empowering habit.
Today’s Journal Exercise:
Today’s exercise has three parts:
- You are not allowed to say anything bad about yourself all day.
- If you accidentally falter, say “Clear, Cancel, Delete” and rephrase what you said in the positive.
- At the end of the day, journal about how going an entire day without bad-mouthing yourself felt. What was your experience like? Was it easy? Was it hard? How many times did you falter?
If you want to take this exercise up a notch, take 15-30 minutes to write a love letter to yourself. Write about what a wonderful, amazing person you are. And then journal about what that experience was like.
