Double Duty Article Marketing: 4 Ways to Get More Mileage Out of One Article

by | Aug 23, 2010 | Marketing & Selling

article marketing mileageCan an article you write serve more than purpose? You betcha! In fact, I highly recommend that when you write an article in the first place, you have in mind from the get go that it will serve at least double duty.

What do I mean by that? Let me tell you …

1. One Subject – Two Places to Post
Write your article for an article directory, and then re-write slightly and post it on your blog. The reverse works well, too.

2. One Article – Three Formats
Write your article then transform it into both audio and video versions. Post the text version to article directories, the audio version to directories that accept audio files and the video to YouTube and other video sharing sites.

3. Long Term Plans
Write an article then later use it as an outline for a book or educational program. Flesh out the content, supplement it with other articles you’ve written and you can develop a decent book or program that folks will pay you money for.

4. Re-Publishing Strategies
Write an article, post it to an article directory and then share it on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. Post a link to it on your blog and/or in your ezine.
